Immanuel United Church of Christ, in conjunction with our nonprofit organization, Joyful Journeys Inc., is enthusiastic to be celebrating our 19th Gala! This annual event is a fundraiser to support our ministry, which reaches out in many different capacities to lift the people in the remote village of Madhavapatnam India, this year specifically the JJ Hostel and Marshall School is our focus. We give thanks for all who have been a part of this ministry and helped shape it to what it is today!
As plans are underway for this year’s Gala, we are excited to highlight Ramesh! At the age of 5, Ramesh entered the Joyful Journeys Hostel as an orphan. He lived there, while attending JJ Marshall School; he graduated a happy youth with high marks. Following graduation, Ramesh received a diploma in computer studies, then pressed on to attend Pragati Engineering College, where he recently graduated with his Bachelors Degree in Engineering! Currently, Ramesh is working in the engineering field, assists with various things connected with the JJ Hostel and Marshall School, and serves as a JJ Board Member in India! NONE OF THIS would have been possible without the loving care and encouragement he received through Joyful Journeys Ministries. Clearly the impact that JJ Ministries had on Ramesh from early on, empowered him to be the man he is today…and he is JUST ONE of the hundreds of children whose lives have been lifted from the bleakness of impoverishment to the hopefulness of a brighter future!! We, as in Joyful Journeys Ministries, are passionate about being the change we wish to see in our world…one child at a time!
With this in mind, we invite you to join us on Friday, October 4th as we celebrate Ramesh’s accomplishments, along with the countless other individuals who have been positively impacted by this ministry. All proceeds benefit Joyful Journeys India Ministry and the good works being done in the village of Madhavapatnam.
